In view of alterations to the historic Morpeth Bridge, Mr John Wright (of Phoenix Park) has planted a time capsule containing a letter, information about his family,
a copy of the Maitland Mercury, coins and other items of interest.
Opened in 1898, Morpeth Bridge took two years to build and was designed to carry 16 tonnes.
