The Historical Atlas of Sydney has been produced by the City of Sydney Archives and is a digitised version of maps and related cartographic resources, covering mainly the City of Sydney local government area but also more widely in the County of Cumberland region.
The Atlas went live a few months ago, but is being added to on a regular basis. Recent additions include the City of Sydney 'Civic Survey' (1938-1950), and some radical post-1945 schemes in which Surry Hills and Redfern would be transformed as planned communities. The next additions will include the 1909 Royal Commission for the Improvement of Sydney and its Suburbs, and the 1945-55 County of Cumberland Planning scheme.
