More than 170 artworks by Lionel Lindsay went on display at Maitland Regional Art Gallery on Saturday.
Mr Lindsay was one of the finest Australian black and white graphic artists of the 20th century.
He was an artist who honed his skills in etching and wood engraving so finely that, by 1927, he was already one of the most internationally successful Australian printmakers of all time.
